Beautiful Hygiene Script
February 6, 2007

Scene 1: (Shower Water)

Hygiene is a very essential routine in daily living.... Uh or is it?
I have decided to embark or this idea of beautiful hygiene. To see if using extra body products will make me feel any different from the ordinary. I predict that each item will have a different effect on me, if I do as instructed on the product label. So Am I getting my money worth, am I feeling the way it describes, does it accomplish the goal at hand.

Scene 2: (Legs)
Nair, Cocoa Butter Formula: For smooth radiant skin. Squeezed lotion into palm of hand. Smooth on a thick even layer to cover hair. DO NOT RUB IN (wash hands immediatly after application). Leave lotion on for 3 minute. To Remove lotion and hair Damp a washcloth. Gently wipe off lotion with a damp washcloth. Rinse skin thoroughly with lukewarm water in shower. Pat Dry

Scene 3: (Body)
Avon Bain Mousse Bubble Bath; Mulberry Spice: Pour 1 to 2 capfuls under running water. Sparkling mulberry blended with a touch of spice makes a rich and zesty bath experience. Feel the bubbles cleanse and scent your skin and never leave a bathtub ring. For adult use ONLY.

Scene 5: (Feet) Berry Mint, pampering foot care with mix of berry extracts: RUN a gallon of lukewarm water in a small tub.
Soak: Pour foot soak into tub of warm water. Soak feet. Rinse feet off and Towel Dry.
Scrub: Apply to feet with special attention to hard or callused areas. Gently rub onto feet. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Cream: Massage onto feet. Reapply as needed.

Scene 6:
(Face) Clean and Clear:
Cleanser: Mix facial cleanser and water into my hands. Softly work this mixture into foam lather. Smoothed it onto face and neck gently. After 2 mins of contact with face, rinse it off thoroughly.
Astringer: Moistened a cotton ball with astringent and stroked over face and neck, repeatedly.
Mositurizer: Use daily after cleansing for moisturized skin. Apply a small amount of Moisturizing lotion to entire face and neck.

Scene 7: (Putting Products Back In Place)
I found that using the products made me feel more complete and feminine at times. Like a girly girl!! I actually loved the foot works product and my feet feel really GOOD, it worked! But, how many times out of ten, am I going to do that again. I must say the bubble bath was very soothing and relaxing, due to the sweet aroma that flowed through the air. The moisture milk made a lasting impression on me as well. The fragence and feel was all I expected_______. However, the dry mist oil only lasted for about 5 mins, so yes this was money wasted. But, on a brighter note, my legs feel silky smooth. The Nair worked, the new cocoa butter formula was excellent because Nair--- years past--- has been very FUNKY. And my face feels refreshed! Like its time to start a new day. So in concluding, was it worth the money and time spent? 5 minus 1, I’d say Yeah! Guess I was proving wrong because, I predicted the ending result to be half/half. But am I going to have the drive to continue these rituals? Proberly not, because this are not things that interest me a lot. So in saying that, I guess hygiene is left up to the individual person. Hygenie is very important to me. WHAT ABOUT YOU??

Beautiful Hygiene

Hygiene is a very essential routine in daily living. In the United States, Americans tend to pamper themselves, going beyond required hygiene behaviors. This film concentrations on 3 areas of the body: face, feet, and legs. It is a step by step approach to capturing the use of skin and body products that aids in the soothing and relaxation of oneself.

Experimental Film

While slowly approaching the sink I mixed the facial cleanser and water into my hands. I softly worked this mixture into a foam lather and smoothed it onto my face and neck gently. After about 2 mins of contact with my face, I rinse it off throughly.Next, I moistened a cotton ball with astringent and stroked over my face and neck, repeatedly. Apply a small amout to entire face and neck.

Legs...Squeeze lotion into palm of hand. Smooth on thick, even layer to cover hair (wash hands immediate after application). Leave lotion on for 3 minute. Gently wipe off lotion with a damp washcloth. Rinse skin throughly with lukewarm water in shower. Pat Dry

Feet...soak-Pour foot soak into a gallon of warm water. Soak feet. Rinse feet and Towel Dry.//scrub-Apply to feet with special attention to hard or callused areas. Gently rub onto feet. Rinse throughly with warm water.// cream-Massage on feet. Reapply as needed.

the Cooking Kitchen

A kitchen is a very warm, inviting environment while preparing food for consumption. With many things going on at once, it actively containing all 5 senses: smell, sight, taste, touch, and sound. Somewhat instructional based, my video will focus on all 5 senses. Preparing a meal: Italian chicken, mac and cheese, stewed potatoes, green beans, cornbread, and chocolate pie.

Experimental/Food

chicken-Preheat oven 350. Fill a bowl with cold salt water. Gently, rinse chicken in cold water. Place chicken into salt water for 30 minutes. Once out of salt water, rerinse and season. Place seasoned chicken in pan and pour Italian dressing over. Let bake for 1hr.
Fill a pot with water and place on stove to boil. Put 1 ham hock and sliced butter into boiling water. Pour can of green beans into water. Let boil until water had evporated.

I-40

As I have done these past 3 years, this weekend I went to my hometown in Columbia, TN. I take Interstate 40 East toward Nashville and it is a 3-hour drive. During that 3-hour drive, I turn up the music and jam..(dance, sing, road rage, fart, talk to myself, etc). I become a totally different person in this comfort zone all by myself, it's amazing. SO...maybe re-enacting this scene.

Get in car (rushing). Start up car, turn radio volume up, check cell phone for time, and put seat belt on. Begin driving.. search radio stations, then make a phone call to mom (60sec conversation). Grab cds from console and search through. Insert 6 cds into cd changer. Begin dancing and singing to each song that is played (if needed, skip tracks). Occasionally check cell phone, drink soda, and eat candy.

Place IdeaZ

My place video is about a Sense of Place. What is place?? Well, place is detected by several components which is discussed in my mini film. I printed off my ideas about place: definitions, quotes, etc; and created an amateur slide show using a cheesy filter. My overall goal was for this film to be viewed as a silent, instructional video, using text, rather than action. Although not completely silent, the page turning is quite obvious and absurd at times.
